THE ENERGY STORE
Who We Are
Our mission is to allow everyone in the UK to make a positive change to their community and to leave their own legacy for future sustainability—not only for their property but for their families. We owe it to everyone to make the change and our aim is to make it affordable to all!
We can help in the smallest of installations to the largest of industrial projects as we look at the figures and how we can maximise the benefits for each project, including those that can be gained from the introduction of renewable systems.
Energy Store is a nationwide company that offers our clients a bespoke system designed for each individual. We are fully aware of the complex challenges and recognise the different environments that each client may face when taking on a renewable venture.
OUR PEOPLE
David Holmes
With vast experience in the renewables marketplace and particularly in solar and battery storage over the last 20 years, David has been responsible for designing and project-managing large commercial and industrial projects such as NHS, schools, holiday villages, solar farms, and the farming sector.
Throughout the UK, David has served his time working with other renewable companies for a long period and over the last seven years has become a vital part of Energy Store’s success story. He is well respected throughout the industry, to the benefits of a renewable future, taking part in group meetings and presenting previous projects to potential clientele.
David has brought in a number of UK and European contacts that have allowed us to open many opportunities with the world’s main panel makers and battery distribution network from China. This has allowed us access to materials even through difficult times in the shipping market.
Robert Munro
Robert Munro comes from an organisational background, chiefly in sales and telesales, including in the licence trade to the debt marketplace. He has experience in building sales teams across the UK from Glasgow to Manchester, Exeter and South Wales. With control of telesales in these areas he facilitated a quick turnover time from interest to completion of sale.
This background has assisted in bringing together today’s teams that are driving the renewable business sector. With over 20 years’ experience in planning and executing campaigns, Robert has assisted both the domestic and commercial sectors of renewable projects which has enabled Energy Store to grow and run smoothly alongside its sister companies.
Along with David Holmes, they have planned and supervised a number of successful business opportunities throughout the years, while ensuring all run to a timetable of manpower and equipment to facilitate every job.
Graham Gracie
Graham has brought a wealth of experience in sales and direct selling with over 45 years in marketing, involved in commercial businesses with cellular phones and PCs in their infancy. Introducing companies to new technologies when some companies never had computers in place, Graham was able to implement the training and software for the end users, offering many lease packages over those years.
He has organised double glazing teams across the UK on the ground, as well as telesales offices which have brought together how we drive our sales forces in the renewables industry today, making sure all are well-trained and understand their roles in the clientele's journey, from initial interest to completion.
Energy Store's domestic arm has Graham to thank, with his constant engagement with clientele through their renewable journey and the way we present our business model. Graham has been working with Robert for over a decade and with David Holmes for the last five years.
Gail Munro
Gail has worked alongside Robert and Graham for a number of years, creating new marketing strategies and communications through our introducers and wholesalers. This has allowed Energy Store to grow with the changing trends in the marketplace.
Gail, in addition, is our financial director and works closely with our accountants to facilitate a clear running business, and allows our commercial arm of the business in Solar PV to increase their margins over periods of 5—25 years with projected packages.

RECC
The Renewable Energy Association (REA) is the UK’s leading trade association representing renewable energy producers and suppliers across a wide range of electric and heating energy sources. REA is a not-for-profit company that sponsors the RECC Code.
The importance of energy generators is growing. There is a wide range of different ways to produce heat and power from renewable or low-carbon sources:
- Electricity: solar, wind and hydro
- Heat: solar, biomass and heat pumps.
Energy generators allow consumers to generate low-carbon or renewable electricity or heat, depending on the fuel source. This code is not technology-specific but applies to all energy generator transactions between code members and consumers.
Energy generators are connected, and often fixed on, to a consumer’s property. This means that there are special safety-standards that apply to their installation and operation.
The code covers all the factors that contribute to overall consumer service, including but not limited to:
- Pre-sales activities, advertising, websites and sales visits
- Details of what the code provides
- Clear information on the systems and their performance
- Any arrangements for installing and connecting the system
- The selection and quality of goods to be supplied
- Details of the conditions of business that apply
- The standard of any installation and other on-site work
- Guarantees, and any maintenance and after-sales services needed
- The action that will be taken to deal with any problems
- Monitoring and continuously improving procedures

MCS
MCS is the regulatory body that governs solar installers throughout the UK. There are still many solar installers across the UK that aren’t MCS accredited, and you’ll often find that these companies can be more competitively priced but do not have insurance on their work or guarantees.
However, if you are looking to secure any kind of payment from your electricity supplier for the power that you export back to them, then you will need to ensure that you have all the appropriate documentation from an MCS accredited company such as Energy Store.
