PROCESS
YOUR SOLAR PV SYSTEM
We have found by the time you approach a few solar PV suppliers, most people already have an understanding of the process and what equipment would be required to make their project come to life. Our job then is to have one of our team visit your property to confirm all the information we have collaborated on in the opening process.
As a part of our proposal, Energy Store is able to offer at least one FREE visit for domestic or commercial clients to go through the best options for your bespoke solar PV plan.
SOLAR PACKAGES
RENEWABLE PROJECTS THAT SUIT THE INDIVIDUAL
At Energy Store, we want to make your renewable journey as simple as possible. Whether it’s a complete property package or simply adding to your existing solar plan, we can give you the knowledge and a better understanding of what products would be best suited for your property. We will notify your current grid supplier to let them know which renewable products are being added, so all you have to do is inform your domestic supplier that you have made a positive change to the property. In some cases, we may be able to get you a cheaper tariff through the battery storage companies we use.
All the manufacturers we use are market leaders that back up their products complete with guarantees and warranties. This allows you to have the confidence that if anything went wrong, the equipment would be renewed under their certification. Guarenteed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Solar energy is clean, renewable, and significantly reduces household carbon emissions, making every community a better place to live when everyone goes greener.
Solar panels protect against fluctuating energy prices and potential energy shortages. We always say, lock in your prices for the next 20-25 years, be the owner of your energy future. Excess energy generated can be sold back to the grid (mention the Smart Export Guarantee - SEG).
Solar panels can increase the resale value of a home as buyers are attracted to lower energy costs. This is reflected in your EPC rating, a key factor when selling your home. The better rating you have, the more you can drive up the price as your property is energy efficient for the next owner.
We always install the highest efficiency Solar PV panels, with technologies improving year on year. The efficiency levels improve as do warranties and guarantees, with most now offering 25-year guarantees. All black panels are popular for aesthetic reasons, but other panels are available. These can be found on our products page.
Inverters convert DC electricity to AC for household use. There are two types of inverters: Hybrid and String inverters, depending on whether you require battery storage or are proceeding with Solar PV only. These can also be found on our products page.
Adding battery storage allows you to store excess energy for use during night-time or cloudy days, reducing dependence on the national grid. While it may decrease your return on investment, it offers a complete system for day and night energy needs. If you have a specific battery in mind, let us know, otherwise, the UK and Europe’s main storage options are on our products page.
Yes, every homeowner can track energy production and usage at their property, helping you better understand your requirements. We recommend monitoring your system for six months before making any reinvestments to confirm what’s needed for your lifestyle.
Before visiting your property, we complete a desktop study to show where panels would be placed and provide a cost breakdown. A full site survey assesses roof suitability, shading, and orientation, enabling us to compile a comprehensive quotation detailing all the required equipment.
A tailored system is designed based on the survey, with a transparent quotation provided, including a breakdown of yield, equipment, payment schedule, and all necessary information to make an informed decision about your renewable energy future.
The installation process typically takes one day with minimal disruption. However, if you have Slate or Small Roman/Biscuit tiles, the process might take longer—usually two days depending on the size of the property.
We handle the connection of your system to the grid and ensure it’s fully operational before completing the handover. We take care of all paperwork, including MCS, IWA, NAPIT, Electrical Certification, and Building Regulations documentation. If you ever lose your copy, we can supply you with any required updated documentation.
We provide ongoing support and maintenance services with every installation throughout the UK. We can assist you with basic computer login to monitor your system, or we can do this for you on a monthly or quarterly basis. Please let us know if you have any special requirements that need more attention to ensure your new clean future starts smoothly.
Domestically, we can offer finance options through “HomeTree” lenders, who provide competitive rates with payment plans over 5-20 years. We are monitored under MCS guidance and not FCA, so we only offer lenders that provide agreements subject to status.
Potential savings and ROI can include payback periods of four years or less, depending on the size of your property (excluding battery storage). This will be confirmed after the site survey and MCS proposal are completed.
The current VAT rate on energy-saving materials like solar panels in the UK is 0% until March 2025.
